Andy Guthrie Bio

Andy Guthrie is a singer, songwriter, composer, pianist, and guitarist. He grew up in Pittsburgh, lived and worked in Santa Fe and New Orleans and currently resides between Paris and New York. His album Milk and Waste (2005) was featured on NPR radio and has received much critical adulation. His music lies somewhere at the confluence between jazz and pop. Trained as a classical composer he has written symphonic and chamber works and composes for theatre and film. His latest album Andy Guthrie in Lyon,(2009) is a live recording from a series of concerts in France.
